Built on the grounds of the Bublacowie School, the museum was built to keep alive the memories of the sacrifices made by so many, and to help the young people of today learn about our military history.
Apart from the visual medals, uniforms & memorabilia, this museum contains the photographic & personal memorabilia of a large number of local servicemen & women who have served their country in all major conflicts.
Built and owned by Christopher Soar B.M. himself a Vietnam/Malay veteran. Preceeded by his father who served in WW2 with the Royal Marines and his two grandfathers who served in WW1.
The Museum is open to social clubs & bus tours by appointment.
Set in two acres of native trees and shrubs, an oasis in the midst of the very rich wheat and barley growing area of the Yorke Peninsula. The Bublacowie Military Museum is just 2½ hours easy drive from Adelaide.
You can find the Bublacowie Military Museum by following the signs on the Minlaton/Yorketown Road or from the sign on the main road at Stansbury on the Southern Yorke Peninsula.
