Pedder Wilderness Lodge

Pedder Wilderness Lodge is located right in the heart of Tasmania’s Southwest National Park which is part of Tasmania’s World Heritage Area. Recognised as one of the world’s extraordinary natural wonders by the World Heritage Commission, it is to be protected forever from human intervention. One tree, which now sits out the front of the Lodge, was cut down in the 1970’s before this protection was in place. The great Huon pine, which is about the width of a car, has its rings marked all the way back to the birth of Christ.
Their surrounds, from which this great Huon came, boast everything from ancient awe-inspiring landscapes with boulders from the Jurassic period, striking mountains and lush sub-alpine rainforests with monolithic trees which range from centuries to thousands of years old, all the way to the modern man-made Gordon Dam which offers one of the world’s top ten adrenaline activities.

Leisure Ville Holiday Centre is located opposite the beach at East Wynyard and is central to all attractions of North West Tasmania, such as Cradle Mountain, the Tarkine Wilderness and Stanley. Family Parks – Captain Cook Holiday Park

Bruny Island is located off the south-eastern coast of Tasmania and is accessed by a vehicular ferry which departs from Kettering, a 40 minute drive south of Hobart.
Captain Cook Holiday Park in the heart of Adventure Bay, which is located on Southern Bruny Island, is the perfect location to base yourself whilst exploring the many attractions Bruny has to offer.
Captain Cook Holiday Park is directly opposite the beach with its white sand and sky blue sea and it isn’t uncommon to see pods of dolphin and migrating whales in the Bay. The park itself is home to some local wildlife including their resident white wallabies and the bird life is abundant with people travelling from all over the world to see them.
The award winning Bruny Eco Boat cruise departure point is an easy 1km walk from the park and a further 1/2 km will bring you to the start of South Bruny National Park with its scenic walking tracks.
The well-stocked Adventure Bay Store is a stone throw away as is the Bruny Bowls Club with their popular Friday night meals. In fact there are many culinary temptations on Bruny all within an easy drive from their park.

With little more than a short stroll along the historic foreshore to the Gordon River cruise offices and local Bars and restaurants, the family owned and operated Retreat is located right in the heart of Strahan.
An on site cafe offers breakfast, lunch and dinner from 6 am. A bottle shop is located next door to reception, as is an ATM and Laundry. All of their accommodation types include complimentary Wi-Fi and adjacent parking.

Our park is in the South of Tasmania and is a perfect spot to base the family, to explore Hobart and its surroundings. With so many experience waiting for you – are you brave enough to go ghost hunting at Port Arthur, or can you resist the sweetest trip of all time, to the chocolate factory? Its only a short 25 minute drive to the stunning vistas at the summit of Mount Wellington.
Our accommodation is also perfect for business trips. We have a fully-serviced Conference Centre with internet access, ideal for corporate functions and large groups. The extremely comfortable options at our caravan park include en-suite powered Caravan and Motor Home sites to a large choice of cabins, cottages and lodges.

We have completed the upgrades for our cottages with new balconies and reverse cycle air-conditioning being installed. The lodges have not been left out with the installation of the reverse cycle air-conditioning. The gas log fires are still in place.

Allow 1 1/2 hours to drive from the Spirit of Tasmania at Devonport.
Our accommodation is built to reflect the natural wilderness of Cradle Mountain. Self contained cabins are warm and cosy, many with gas log heaters.
